STORAGE, HANDLING & SAFETY

Coace® B1-2 should be stored in dry conditions and protected from UV-light. Improper

storage conditions may cause degradation and have consequences on physical properties of the product.

This means that the maleic anhydride component has been chemically bonded to the polypropylene backbone, resulting in a material that has improved adhesion properties and increased compatibility with other materials.

The high degree of grafting in Coace® B1-2 also allows for improved dispersion of fillers and reinforcements, which can result in composites with enhanced mechanical properties. Additionally, the maleic anhydride modification can improve the thermal stability and processing characteristics of the material.

Overall, Coace® B1-2 is a versatile material that can be used in a variety of applications, including as a compatibilizer for polymer blends, a coupling agent for composites, and an impact modifier for thermoplastics. Its high degree of grafting and improved adhesion properties make it a valuable tool for improving the properties and performance of a wide range of materials.

Applications

To be used as coupling agent in polypropylene base compounds to strengthen the

adhesion between infill materials and polymer matrix.

To be used as compatibilizers to improve the compatibility between polyamide and polypropylene.
