Model No.: B2
lntroduction:

Low odor PP compatibilizer (B2)

In the application of PP+glass fiber modification, B2 can react with the surface-treated glass fiber to improve the compatibility of PP and glass fiber, thereby improving the tensile strength and impact strength of polypropylene.

Maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene (MAPP), also known as polypropylene-graft-maleic anhydride (PP-g-MAH), is a type of polymer that is produced by grafting maleic anhydride onto a polypropylene backbone. The grafting process introduces a highly polar side group (maleic anhydride) into the main chain of polypropylene, which can improve the compatibility and adhesion of polypropylene with polar materials such as wood, metals, and polymers.

MAPP has been widely used as a promoter in various applications. For example, it can be used as a coupling agent in wood-plastic composites (WPCs) to improve the adhesion between the wood fibers and the polypropylene matrix. It can also be used as a compatibilizer in blends of polypropylene with other polar polymers, such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polyamide (PA), to improve their compatibility and mechanical properties.

Overall, the use of MAPP as a promoter is a valuable application of this material that can improve the performance and properties of various materials and products.

Description

B2 is prepared by grafting maleic anhydride to polypropylene.

Because it introduces a highly polar side group (maleic anhydride) into the main chain of polypropylene, maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene can be used as a promoter

The bridge of adhesion and compatibility between polar materials and non-polar materials.

Characterisitic

Adding PP compatibilizer when producing filled polypropylene can greatly improve the affinity between filler and polypropylene and the dispersibility of filler. This is a low-odor PP compatibilizer, which to a certain extent meets the requirements of automobile manufacturers for the odor of automobile materials.

Applications

1. It can be used as a compatibilizer between inorganic reinforcing materials (glass fiber) and filler materials (calcium carbonate, talcum powder, etc.) and PP;

2. Can be used as a compatibilizer for PP/nylon alloy:

3. Can be used as wood-plastic compatibilizer;

4. It can be used to improve the adhesion between PP and polar materials (metal, nylon, etc.).
