Description

Coace®W1F is a kind of chemical functionalized propylene base copolymerwithlow glass transition temperature. It owns high fluidity during the manufacturing process.

Propylene-based copolymers are commonly used in a wide range of industrial and consumer applications due to their desirable balance of mechanical and thermal properties. To achieve a low glass transition temperature (Tg), the copolymer can be functionalized with chemical groups that introduce flexibility and lower the intermolecular forces between polymer chains.

One common way to achieve this is through copolymerization with a comonomer that has a lower Tg than propylene, such as ethylene or butene. However, if copolymerization is not sufficient to achieve the desired Tg, chemical functionalization can be used.

Chemical functionalization can involve the introduction of polar or nonpolar groups onto the polymer chain. For example, polar groups such as carboxylic acid or hydroxyl can be introduced through grafting reactions or copolymerization with functional monomers. Nonpolar groups such as alkyl or aryl can also be introduced through similar methods.

Overall, chemical functionalization of propylene-based copolymers can be an effective way to achieve a low glass transition temperature, which can improve their flexibility and processability in various applications.

Characterisitic

Applications

1.Be used for PA6 or PA66 compatibilizing or toughening. Increase the impact resistance and processability of nylon, decrease the water absorption, greatly improve the cold-resistance.

2.Be used for the compatibilizer of nylon and polypropylene/polyethylene alloy.

3.Be used for the macromolecular modifier(coupling agent) of mineral filled or glass-fiber filled nylon.
