Description

W1L-1 is a maleic anhydride polymer on polyethylene base. It is in granule form.

Maleic anhydride polymer can be used as a compatibilizer to improve the adhesion between polyethylene and polar materials, such as polypropylene or polystyrene. Maleic anhydride can be grafted onto the polyethylene backbone to create a copolymer with polar functionality, which can then interact with other polar materials.

One common method for grafting maleic anhydride onto polyethylene involves melt blending the two materials in the presence of a radical initiator, such as peroxide. The maleic anhydride reacts with the polyethylene chains to form a graft copolymer. The resulting material has improved compatibility with polar materials and can be used to improve the performance of blends or composites.

Maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene can also be used as a compatibilizer in polymer blends with other polar materials, such as polypropylene or polystyrene. The maleic anhydride functionality can react with the polar groups on the other material to create a more uniform blend with improved mechanical properties.

In summary, maleic anhydride polymer can be used to improve the adhesion between polyethylene and polar materials, and can be grafted onto the polyethylene backbone to create a copolymer with improved compatibility with other polar materials.

Applications

1.To be used as coupling agent for polyethylene based compounds, like LSZH cablecompounds, WPC compounds, etc.

2.To be used as bonding strength in coextrusion processes between polyethylene orethylene copolymers and different materials, like polyamides, EVOH, etc. It is can bediluted by LLDPE, or LDPE.

3.To be used as a impact modifiers for polyamide conditions.
